On Tuesday, July 14, 2003, the Salinas Chinese Senior Club went on a trip to the Asian Museum in San Francisco. The former location of the Asian Museum was shared at the De Young Museum in Golden Gate Park. But the Museum was condemned because of lack of earthQuake construction. The building has been torn-down & the Asian Arts has been move to its present location 200 Larkin St. where the old San Francisco Public Library Building is situated. Through donations the Asian Arts has its own building. It is called the Chong-Moon Lee Center for Asian Art and Culture. The Museum was opened last month. The Discovery Tour bus once again was used for transportation. The trip started at 11 AM & we were home by 8:30 PM. This is a pictorial tour of our trip.
