The Salinas Lodge were again successful in winning a bid to provide luncheon for the Spectator
Transportation Drivers & conductors for the ATT Golf Tournament. Net proceeds will be used for
our Youth scholarship program. This year we were required to provide luncheon for Fives days instead of
the usual four days. We were also required to serve lunches at two locations instead of one location.;
At Fort Ord & at Portola in Pebble Beach..
Sherman Low is over-all chairman. Fort Ord facility chairman was Jerry Cheang; Portola Facility was chaired
by Linda Low. The luncheon was cooked at the Fort Ord facility with Stanley Chan as barbecue
chairman of the cooking facilty..
Wallace Ahtye was chairman of the Bus conductors for C.A.C.A.
Others made home baked goods from their kitchen to serve as desserts for the luncheon.
It was a combined effort from everyone that made it a big success.
Second element of course was the weather. The weather hindered spectator attendence . This was the first year
of our participation that is rained. We had light showers for all five days of the tournament..
