The Salinas Lodge were again successful in winning a bid to provide luncheon for the Spectator Transportation Drivers & conductors for the ATT Golf Tournament. Net proceeds will be used for our Youth scholarship program. We were required to provide luncheon for about 150 volunteers for the four days that the tournament was played.
This is chronicle all four days that the Salinas Lodge workers has to go through.
The year of the Monkey 4701 brought good luck and fortune for the Salinas Lodge CACA CIF fundraiser. We served 632 meals during the four-day event to the spectatoršs transportation volunteers at the prestigešs AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
The committee Louis and Wanda Lee, Sherman and Linda Low say the event was successful due to two main elements.
First, it was the thirty-one hard working volunteers who made it possible. Some volunteered to work two days others up to four or five days at Pebble Beach. Others made home baked goods from their kitchen to serve as desserts for the luncheon. It was a combined effort from everyone that made it a big success.
Second element of course was the weather. It started out as the typical Bing Crosby weather, rainy and stormy during the first part of the week, but as play began it turn out like your typical California weather, bright sunshine with a little breeze.
